Career
Prior to acting, Lauren Velez started off her professional career with a job, worked in the National Touring Company of the musical ‘Dreamgirls’. She became famous for performing in Off-Broadway in productions of ‘Much Ado About Nothing’.
In 1994, she made her debut through a movie named ‘I Like it Like That’ in which she performed as Lisette Linaries. In the film, she acted alongside Rita Moreno and Jon Seda. In 1995, she then made her first role of Nina Moreno in the TV series named ‘New York Undercover’.
She is the lady who has won many awards and also, she has earned many nominations. She is the winner of ‘The Desi Award for the category of ‘Best Lead Actress’. She was also nominated for the Independent Spirit Award as well.
