1-  Aysen Gruda’s Family Background

Aysen Gruda was born to Erman Turkish parents and had two sisters named Ayten and Ayben. They both wanted to become an actress. Her father was a train mechanic. She was so attached to her father but unfortunately, she lost him when she was in the 10th standard.

2- Her Passion Towards Mimicry

Her sarcastic ability was discovered by her parents as she mimicked her Armenian neighbors at her home in Yessilkoy.  She was then decided to seek a career in mimicry.

3- She Faced Financial Crises

She dropped out of school due to financial crises and decided to start work. her siblings wanted to join the Turkish cinema. They both admired Aysen and wanted to be like her. She started working at such a young age after her major loss of father.

4- She Is Best Known For

Aysen has acted in various comedy serials and movies and one of her most popular plays in which she performed for television, she was given an exceptional performance in that serial. She was given a nickname ‘Tomato Beauty’ in that serial.

Aysen started her career in a professional manner at the Tevfik Bilge Theater. In 1962, she got her first role in Woodville, was titled “Congre Ezielier” (“The Congress Is Fun”), appearing in a TV drama, 16 years later, in a theater. She became famous and everyone knew her role was after “Nahid the Rate the Tomato Beauty.”

She has shown her incredible performances in many musicals including “Mum Söndü”, “Deve Ku?u Kabare”, and others. Her role in the sketch Her Domates Guzeli Nahide ?erbet on television and was given a nickname “Domates Güzeli”.

She battled life-threatening pancreatic cancer and was hospitalized in December due to gastric dying. She spotted the most recent month and died on 23rd January 2019, Istanbul.
