1. Liver Pool Fan

Dele Alli may play for Tottenham Hotspur, but he is a lifelong Liverpool fan. Alli looks up to Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard as a role model.  He even admitted to buying his boots. [1]

2. His Mother Put Him Up For Adoption

Alli had a difficult childhood. His mother placed him for adoption when he was only 13 years old. She admitted to having drug and alcohol issues and felt it was the right thing to do to give him away. [2]

3. Choose To Play For England Instead Of Nigeria

Dele Alli is of Nigerian descent and thus qualified to represent his country. But he declined and chose to play for England instead.

4. A Top Driver

Dele Alli only had one day of practice before his driving test and passed with flying colors. Before the test, the star requested a crash course from the Drive Johnson Driving School. [3]

7. His Debut Appearance

On November 2nd, 2012, Alli made his debut for MK Dons in an FA Cup tie against Cambridge United, coming on as a substitute for winger Jay O’Shea. At the time, he was sixteen years old.

8. First Goal

The youngster didn’t have to wait long for his first goal with the club, as he scored in the replay of the Cambridge cup tie, which the Dons won 6-1.
