She was born as Fatima Rashid but later, she changed her name to Nargis Duttafter married to Sunil Dutt. She was considered as one of the greatest actresses of her time. The actress had a strong association with the Hindi film industry as her husband Sunil Dutt was also a successful, famed actor. Later, her son Sanjay Dutt also became a renowned actor and has worked in many Bollywood films.

3- Death Cause

The actress, Nargis Dutt passed away on 3rd May 1981 due to Cancer. It is said that she diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and this became a reason for her death. Even Bollywood actors, Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor also lost their lives due to the same disease.

4- Family Origin

Nargis was born in a Hindu family to a father, Mohanchand Uttamchand, a Punjabi Mohiyal Brahim, who later changed his name as Abdul Rashid, and became a well-known singer of Allahabad, and a renowned cinema artist.
