PSL 6 Postponed Due to Covid-19 Out-break

The match between Islamabad United vs Lahore Qalandars | Match 15th Postponed | Pakistan Super League (Season 6). According to the sources, the IU vs LQ Match 15th is postponed for an indefinite period of time because of Covid-19 outbreak. Along with all the lined up matches to be postponed immediately due to Covid-19 out-break as per sources.
PSL 6 Postponed
“Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to postpone the HBL Pakistan Super League season 6 immediately.” the board confirmed in a press release today. The team owners consider the health and well-being of all participants in PSL 6.

PCB made this decision in a virtual meeting today.

Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana blames Pakistan Cricket Board’s mismanagement. He said that the franchises were skeptical of the league’s staging from the start but the Board still went ahead. He has doubt that the league might get resumed later.  PCB itself had said that there was no other window available to consider resuming PSL 6.

Dan Christian from Karachi Kings withdraws from PSL 6

Today, Dan Christian from Karachi Kings withdraws from PSL 6 and will leave for Dubai tonight at a 12 o’clock flight.

There are three more players who tested positive but the names are kept unknown to the public.

The PCB confirms that immediate measures will be taken to secure the passage of all participants, and arrange repeat PCR tests, vaccines, and isolation facilities.

The tournament had seen 14 of its scheduled 34 matches staged before Covid-19 caused the interruption today. A full schedule of the Tournament can be accessed here.

The same thing happened last year, that the PSL 5 was canceled due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
