Prabhu Deva is a renowned Indian dancer, choreographer, film director, film actor; film Producer & vocalist who predominantly recognized for his work in Telugu, Tamil; Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi movies. He was born in Mysore, Karnataka, India on 3rd April, 1973.
Prabhu Deva is questionably one of the most renowned choreographers all across India. He took classes in Bharatanatyam and western dancing styles once he was quite young. After that, he decided to try his good fortune in movies. Prabhu initiated his career as an actor in Tamil movies. After starring in a number of Tamil movies, he ultimately made his first acting debut with a Tamil movie titled Indhu. He was featured alongside famous actress Roja in this movie and the movie earned well at Indian box office. Prabhu Deva rose to utmost fame after he starred in a Tamil movie titled Kadhalan. The movie was also dubbed in Telugu and Hindi as well. In Hindi, it was named as Humse Hain Muqabala. Prabhu Deva exposed his proficient dancing abilities in the songs titled ‘Muqabala’ and ‘Urvasi Urvasi’. By way of his dancing abilities, he became recognized all across India.
Prabhu Deva has starred in more than fifty movies. Even though he has commonly starred in Tamil movies but is also a constant figure in Hindi and Telugu movie industry too. Aside from Vijay, Nandi and Filmfare awards, Prabhu has also received two National Awards for his breathtaking choreography. Beyond acting, he has made a niche for himself by way of choreography. Apart from choreography and acting he has also worked as a film director and made his first directorial debut with a Telugu movie titled Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. Prabhu Deva has directed a number of megahit blockbuster movies of Bollywood like Rowdy Rathore, R… Rajkumar and Wanted amongst others. He has also directed forthcoming Bollywood movie titled Dabangg 3. He has also tried his good fortune in film production and has produced more than 4 Tamil movies.
Prabhu Deva was born to Mahadevamma and Mugur Sundar. He also has two younger brothers named Nagendera Prasad and Raju Sundaram. In the year 1995, he tied the knot with Ramlatha and the couple was blessed with three sons. In 2008, their first-born son died on account of brain tumor. Prabhu was also in a relationship with renowned Tamil actress Nayantara.
