So — been using this thing for about four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I’m in the UK, generally bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an each way return would be with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now I type the odds in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — type in stake and odds and it spits out returns straight away, either odds format. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s over at odds matching and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that actually made a difference is the nerdier bits. They’ve got an odds-to-probability converter which shows you what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one gets used a fair bit for when I’m splitting a race.

Couple of gripes. The layout is pretty plain — zero flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it’s usable but the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. There’s nothing on the app store, just the site — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

Anyway. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. Anyone who still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.

OK — been using this thing for maybe a few months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me last week. I’m UK based, mostly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.

The reason I started using it was honestly a bit daft — I could never figure out what an ew payout actually was when the place terms changed. Basically I’d wing it and get a shock. These days I type the odds in first, every time, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — type in the price and your stake and it spits out profit and total return straight away, either odds format. It also handles the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, which is where I always got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s here ew odds calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that actually made a difference were the nerdier bits. There’s an probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I use half kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutch tool is handy too if I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. The layout looks very functional, let’s say — not much frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it works although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. There’s no app, it’s browser only — fine by me just flagging it.

Right, that’s me. Free, barely any ads, does what it says. If you honestly works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saves me a fair few arguments with the bookie.

Right — been using this thing for maybe four months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d write something up since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, mostly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, for context.

The reason I started using it was actually a bit daft — I could never work out what an each way payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just wing it and get a shock. Now I stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — you put in stake and odds and it shows returns instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, which is where I’d always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here american odds converter — free, no signup.

The thing that actually changed how I bet were the more serious bits. There’s an probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is handy too when I’m splitting a race.

It’s not perfect mind. The design feels pretty plain — not much frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s fine but the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. And no proper app, just the site — fine by me just flagging it.

Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.
