Yesterday, I found myself scrolling endlessly on my phone instead of starting a project due tomorrow, and it made me wonder: why do I keep procrastinating even though I know the deadline is close? Sometimes it feels like the distractions aren’t the real problem—like there’s something deeper that stops me from even wanting to begin. Has anyone else noticed that blocking websites or setting timers doesn’t actually help because you still avoid the task? While looking for different perspectives, I came across a liven review that discussed procrastination from a psychological point of view rather than just focusing on productivity tricks. It made me curious whether understanding the root cause—like motivation, mood, or perfectionism—is actually more effective. Does anyone use apps that help with the psychological reasons behind procrastinating rather than just limiting distractions? I’d love some insight or personal experiences on how to handle this from the inside, not just the surface.

I’ve found that understanding the reasons behind procrastination has helped me much more than using timers or website blockers. Once I started paying attention to my mood, stress levels, and the thoughts I had before avoiding a task, it became easier to change my habits. Apps that combine journaling, mood tracking, and guided reflection can be surprisingly useful because they encourage you to recognize patterns instead of just forcing yourself to focus.
