Christopher James Jordan or Christopher Jordan is an English cricketer who was born in Barbadian on 4th October 1988. He bowls with his right-arm in the fast-medium style. He is also a good right-handed late-order batsman. Jordan’s parents were born in Barbados but his maternal grandparents were born in British. He got his early education at Combermere School in Bridgetown, Barbados. A famous singer Rihanna was his classmate. Jordan got a sporting scholarship so he went to England to complete his formal education at Dulwich College.

Career Journey

Jordan started his career in August 2007 from the 1st XI debut which he made for Surrey squad against Middlesex at Lord’s. He was awarded by the NBC Denis Compton Award (for most promising player in 2007).

After six years, Jordan returned back to Barbados where he plays the second winter season in the Barbados national cricket team. He played for the Sussex in the 2013 season. In that session, he scored best figures of the championship with 6–48 against Yorkshire.

The international career of the player started in 2013. Jordan was chosen to play for England. Although, he was eligible to represent both the teams, West Indies and England because of his residency as well as his maternal genealogy. In September 2013, Jordan made his One Day International debut played against Australia. However, his ODI first five-wicket haul was taken against the Sri Lankan team on 28th May 2014, held at Old Trafford. In that match, he played with the figures of 5 for 29 that let England win the match with 10-wickets.

Despite this, he has represented the English team in the World Cup. It was Jordan’s first T20I debut, played against New Zealand while a rainy day. In the second match that played against Sri Lanka, he took 2–28 as England got his victory.

Jordan was one of the important members of the English team in the 2016 T20 World Cup. As played each match of the tournament in which England qualified for the final match. He played very well in both, in the semi-finals round against Sri Lanka as well as in the final round against West Indies.

He has represented Peshawar Zalmi for three years in the PSL from 2017 to 2019. In 2020 auction of PSL, he was picked up by Karachi King Squad and made his T20 debut in the start of 2020.
