Chris Lynn was best known for hitting the big sixes, who is also considered as one of the first Australian cricketers as a white-ball specialist on the first-class cricket of his prime. Lynn was born on 10th April 1990 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Lynn went to attend St Joseph’s Nudgee College where he got secondary education. Later on, he joined the Queensland Academy of Sport for the pursuit of a cricket career.
Career Journey
Since his childhood, he has a keen interest in the profession of cricket. He played as a senior cricketer for Toombul District Cricket Club in Brisbane. Lynn played his first-class cricket for the Queensland under-19 at the age of 19 years against South Australia. The match was held at the Gabba in March 2010. Lynn represents the Brisbane Heat cricket team in the Big Bash League, where he scored his best performance with the runs of 198 at 28.28.
When we talk about the international career of the player, from 2011 to 2012, he bought for the Deccan Chargers team based on the Hyderabad cricket team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Later, in 2013 he was the part of Sunrisers Hyderabad, and then signed in 2014, and 2015 by the Kolkata Knight Riders. In 2015, he was ruled out of the team due to severe injuries. He remained the part of Kolkata Knight Riders till 2019. But now bought by Mumbai Indians, in 2020. He was considered as the most runs scored player in the Powerplay in the history of IPL.
When we talk about Lynn’s international career in Pakistan, he was bought in 2017 by the most powerful cricket team of Pakistan Super League, Lahore Qalandars in the 2018 PSL cricket draft. Unfortunately, cricketer couldn’t perform in this game due to the injury caused while IPL.
Lynn came back to PSL with 2020 PSL cricket drafted and signed by Lahore Qalandars in the Platinum Category round pick in December 2019.
Apart from the PSL and IPL, he has also played for many other international tournaments. Like Lynn play in the Twenty20 international on 29th January 2014 against England in Hobart. Additionally, he performed in Australia One Day International (ODI) tournament against Pakistan on 13 January 2017.
