I’m an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux Nation of North and South Dakota. A 30 year member of the Screen Actors Guild and former member of the National Board of Directors of the Screen Actors Guild. My biggest role was in the TNT mini-series “Rough Riders” my character “Indian Bob”represented the 50 American Indians who were real Rough Riders. American Indians can only be enrolled in one Tribal Nation. Kelsey Asbille Chow, who plays an American Indian on “Yellowstone” is not Native American/American Indian she is half-Chinese and half-White. Gil Birmingham is Mexican and not American Indian.

I’m also a 100% Service-Connected Permanent and Total Disabled Vietnam Combat Veteran. I served with Delta Troop, 2nd/17th Cavalry, 101st Airborne Division as a Sergeant in 1969-70 at the ages of 18 and 19. I had 10 men in my squad whose lives I was responsible for when we were in combat. I hold the Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Assault Badge, National Defense Service Medal.
