Haris Rauf is a Pakistani bowler who has very fast bowling skills with his right-arm as well the right-handed batting skill. The cricketer was born on 7th November 1993 in Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan. He has a keen interest in the games since his teenaged and when Haris was a college student in the Islamabad Model College he had more interest in football than the cricket. His keen interest in the game leads him to won the football trophy as the best player of the series while in his school days.
Career Journey
Haris started his domestic cricket career by joining with the International Islamic University cricket team, Islamabad, and where Haris’s coach forced him to serve for the Lahore Qalandars attempt that was held in Gujranwala in September 2017. Initially, Haris was hesitant to join and then being noted by Aaqib Javed, who offered him to play cricket from the national side in Australia. Next, then he was chosen for Lahore Qalandars for the 2018 Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy, which also intense his domestic race appearance.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selected Haris among the six Pakistani players to look ahead to the 2019–20 National T20 Cup series in October 2019. However, before selecting him by PCB, he has made his List A debut for Baluchistan in the 2019 Pakistan Cup, as well as the first-class debut for Northern in the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in the same year.
The talented star became a member of the Australian Melbourne Stars In December 2019 for the 2019-20 Big Bash League season. Initially, Haris got the chance as a replacement cricketer for Dale Steyn, but he came along sides of only eight cricketers who took the five-wicket haul by taking it in the second match of the tournament against the Hobart Hurricanes team.
The success was not ended here, he took a hat-trick as well against the Sydney Thunder team on 8 January 2020 that lead his to become the first Pakistani and the first Melbourne Stars bowler whoever does so in the Big Bash League. In this series, he delivered a bowl at the speed of 151.3 km/h.
Haris made his international debut in January 2020 against Bangladesh from his national side for the Pakistan cricket team in a T20 series. He is one of the best players of Lahore Qalandar since 2018. He is currently playing for the Lahore Qalandars in the 2020 Pakistan Super League tournament.
