Indiana Evans is an Australian actress and singer-songwriter. She is best known for her roles in Home and Away (1988), H2O: Just Add Water (2006), and Blue Lagoon: The Awakening (2012). She became interested in performing at five when she would perform for family and friends. At age seven, her parents enrolled her into dance lessons, which started with ballet and then developed into jazz and tap.

Career

Indiana Evans began studying at high school at the Newtown High School of the Performing Arts before working on Home and Away. But left the school after two weeks to focus on her acting career. She then took up a writing course until she turned 15. She made her acting debut in the Australian medical drama All Saints (2003).

Evans then landed a major role in an American campaign for Kool-Aid. Also in 2003, she had a recurring role on the children’s television series Snobs from 2003 to 2004, which focuses on two unlikely friends from two different worlds. The series only continued one season. Evans has since appeared in other shows, including Comedy Inc., Cops L.A.C. (2010), and The Strip (2008).

In 2005, Indiana Evans received the nominations for a Logie Award and an Inside Soap Award for the role in the soap opera Home and Away. In 2008, she earned the Dolly Teen Choice Awards for her performance in the soap opera Home and Away.

Evans starred in the television film A Model Daughter: The Killing of Caroline Byrne (2009), where she played Kylie Watson. Also in 2009, she replaced Claire Holt as one of the three leads on the children’s television series H2O: Just Add Water as Isabella “Bella” Hartley.

Indiana Evans joined the cast of ABC’s U.S. television drama Secrets and Lies. The series is based on the Australian series of the same name, which was the first broadcast in March 2014.
