Career

Allen is best known for his major role as Toby Cavanaugh on the Pretty Little Liars (2010, TV series). In 2009, he graduated from American Musical and Dramatic Academy and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He is Jewish, like his mother. During his teenage years, he was passionate about photography, cinematography, and other roles behind the camera. However, at age 13, he picked up his first paid job for a minor, non-speaking character in a broadcast for Animal Planet. He performed in an episode of Nickelodeon’s sitcom Big Time Rush (2009, TV series). Soon after, he started performing the recurring role of Toby Cavanaugh on the ABC Family mystery Pretty Little Liars (2010, TV series). Besides, Allen is a talented photographer, he has published two photography books. In February 2015, he published the biography life.love.beauty and became the bestseller author. In his words, “Takes you on a photographic voyage through my life so far.” He published HOLLYWOOD: Photos and Stories from Foreverland (2018). Allen released a music single, Million Miles Away (2017). He performed as a celebrity guest at the Super Smash Bros. Invitational (2014). He starred as Liam Walker in The CW crime drama Walker reboot (2020, TV series). He also won the Teen Choice Awards for Choice Summer TV Star: Male in 2013.
