Nagesh Bhosle is an uprising Indian movie, television as well as a theatre actor. He is also an esteemed director and producer. He was the director and co-producer of a Marathi movie titled Goshta Choti Dongraevadhi, wherein he also starred in the leading role of Nandu. Nagesh Bhosle also directed the movies titled Dillit Mujra and Gallit Gondhal as well as another Marathi movie titled Adgul Madgul.
Nagesh Bhosle was born in Nagpur, India on 7th August 1960. He started his acting career with theatre. Once in college, he used to watch the theater play titled Aata Manushya Jagne in a competition performed by famous actor Arun Nalawade. He was mesmerized by his remarkable performance and after that he gets more fascination towards theatre. Afterwards, he performed in the play titled Kondmara wherein he portrayed the leading role. The play won a number of honors and he was also bestowed with Best Actor award. Hereafter, he appeared in two more theater plays from which he won the similar accolades. After that, Nagesh Bhosle decided to settle in Mumbai in early 90’s. He met a Marathi actor; poet and writer named Mangesh Kulkarn and informed him regarding the casting for Nagmandala. He moved ahead for audition and Bhaskar Chandawarkar nominated him. Nagesh found himself associated with a workshop for acting at NCPA (National Centre for Performing Arts). Right after Nagmandala, he works constantly in Marathi theatre.
In the year 1997, Nagesh Bhosle has stopped on starring in commercial Marathi theatre. He was provided an opportunity to depict the role of Kishan Murari in Hasratein aired on Zee TV. He was debuted as a movie actor thru the Marathi movie titled Bangarwadi wherein he portrayed the role of Daddu Baltya under Amol Palekar’s direction. The movie emerged as one of the superhit films in the year 1997. Afterwards, he appeared in another movie by Amol Palekar titled Daayra. In the year 1999, he was starred in a cameo role in the comic movie titled Bombay Boys. Anurag Kasyap familiarized him to E. Nivas, director of the Hindi crime movie titled Shool from where he starred as Sudhir Vinod and Bollywood thriller movie titled Bardaasht. Nagesh Bhonsle also starred in Hindi movie like Sarkar, D, Hostel, Kyon Ki, Shiva, Billu, Lal Salam and Dum. He also did a few Marathi movies like Chingi, Duniyadari, Vishwavinayak and numerous others.
