Cem Yilmaz is a Turkish stand-up comic, entertainer, voice-actor, musician, filmmaker, screenwriter and cartoonist. He has given fabulous performances during his entire career but he is the most popular for his films including G.O.R.A. (2004), A.R.O.G (2008) and Yah?i Bat? (2010), and has won two Sadri Al?s?k awards for his roles in Organize ??ler (2005) and The Magician (2006).

1- Cem Yilmaz’s Family Background

He was born on 23rd April 1973, Istanbul and originates from Gurun, Sivas. Yilmaz’s half family originates from Turkey who came from Thessaloniki, Greece. He was so ambitious about acting and media-related fields since adolescence. And when he grew up, he decided to choose it as a career.

2- His Educational History

Yilmaz got his primary education from Mehmet Akif School. After completing his schooling, he then joined Bahçelievler Kaz?m Karabekir Secondary School, and for higher studies, he then attended Bogazici University and done bachelors in Tourism and Hotel Management.

3- His Cinematic Debut

He made his cinematic debut with the film named ‘ Everything’s Gonna Be Great’ which was released in 1998.  He describes his illustrious breakthrough and big-spending plan by creating the sci-fi spoof G.O.R.A. (2004), similarly directed by Omer Faruq Sorak. Despite considerable time lapses due to monetary and other special issues, G.O.R.A. According to Rekin Teksoy, the film industry has been successful, “suggesting that the famous film will be used to speak to a wider audience”. Since then he has made his film industry success with G.O.R.A. A. ROG reunited with The Magician and Yahsi Bati and starred in over 10 films and as a voice actor in various films.

In the mid-1990s, he began doing Stand-up shows in the bars of Leman Kultur.  He has done four stand-up specials since then. What’s more, he twice directed the Borussan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra.
