More music means more peace: Shallum Xavier

  Fuzön is a pop rock band from Pakistan (Sindh- Karachi) established in 2001 by former & vocalist Shafqat Amanat Ali. The band integrates with mix styles of pop and rock instrumentation. It is a combination of Hindustani traditional and modern soft rock music blended with the Sufi Style of singing. “Fuzon was one of the innovative groups of the new millennium, as they gave us an impressive collection like Saagar. After a huge success, Fuzon released more tracks to appear on South Asian music map prominently. However, 17 years of continuous struggle, the bandmates achieved who they are today. Recently, the band released a new patriotic track ‘Dharti Maa Ko Sajana Hai, to pay reverence to the truly great heroes of the Homeland. The tune has been made by Shallum himself, sung by Khurram and Alicia Dias and written by Mustafa Hashmi.
  The tune was initially expected to release on August 14 however after a couple of mishaps, two adaptations of the melodies were released. The most recent one for September 6. The guitarist Shallum said that, “It took us seven days to assemble this melody. It was basically a plan to transform schoolwork into fun. I gave a task to my students at Iqra University to make a track. It was a great deal of enjoyable to make the tune with the students. Around 20 of my students even sung in the tune.” The band will release another album after Moharram, and ‘Saajna’ will be the first track of the upcoming album. The artist Shallum shared, “It’s a blend. It’s a reflection of what we’ve done previously and what we would like to accomplish later on. We have wandered into Electronic Dance Music also. Presently, this is an experiment we have tried since there is a sure swarm for that specific class in Pakistan for it. We’re trusting it satisfies.”
Apart from this, the band will also be bring an initiative he had with I Am Karachi. The mentorship program offers open doors for artists from the different areas of Karachi. However, this would be a great opportunity for amateurs to work with experts.  Additionally, Shallum shared the views about the continuous Kashmir struggle. “It couldn’t be any more obvious, the thing is I wouldn’t have any desire to remark on the current political happenings,” the craftsman shared. “The reason is I don’t think we, as specialists, are politically taught. We should do concentrated research before making a remark on such issues.” “The story of what we as Pakistani and them as Indians see about Kashmir is total inverse. We don’t concur with it, and we won’t concede to it. Be that as it may, we ought to never advance war or any kind of contention.” He added. “We’re artists, and art is never about clashes.”
