I know how this sounds. I genuinely do. But before anyone jumps in with the obvious response let me give you the full picture because I think a lot of people in this forum are probably sitting with the same thought and just not saying it out loud. I have been working in project management for eleven years. I manage multi million dollar programs, lead cross functional teams across three continents and have delivered results that my organisation’s leadership has recognised repeatedly. And yet here I am, stressing about a standardised exam that feels completely disconnected from the actual work I do every day. The thought of finding someone to take my PMP exam for me has crossed my mind more than once this month.
The honest truth is that the PMP exam preparation process is a significant time commitment on top of an already demanding professional life. The PMBOK framework, the Agile hybrid questions, the situational judgment scenarios — none of it maps cleanly onto how project management actually works in practice and preparing for it properly while managing real projects simultaneously is a genuine challenge. I am not looking for a shortcut because I lack knowledge. I am looking for a way to get a credential that reflects experience I already have without sacrificing another three months of evenings and weekends to exam prep that feels more like an endurance test than a meaningful assessment.
