The famous Pakistani singer, who is also known as Lala, had to perform for the first time in Bollywood. There were rumors in India that Attaullah Khan went to prison for murdering his beloved. The 1995 dramatic Bollywood film Bewafa Sanam was also produced and marketed, saying that it is the actual life story of Khan. However, the artist said “”This is completely false. I have heard that they did this for the success of some movie.”
Attaullah Khan Niazi has been honored with Pride of Performance Award by the Pakistan government.
