The Beatles were a popular English rock band in 1960. There were four members in the band. Unfortunately, Lennon was murdered and killed in 1980 by Mark David Chapman. In 2001, Harrison died of lung cancer. However, McCartney and Starr remain musically active. The Beatles are the smooth-selling music act of all time.
