Maggie Smith married actor Robert Stephens on 29 June 1967. The couple had two sons, actors Chris Larkin and Toby Stephens. However, the couple divorced on 6 April 1975. Smith then tied the knot with playwright Beverley Cross on 23 June 1975. They remained married until Cross’s death on 20 March 1998.
