Ali Shafiq is a young, right-handed, medium-fast Pakistani bowler. He was born on 16th November 1996. Shafiq belongs to a Punjabi family in the Daska city of Punjab province in Pakistan.
Career Journey
Shafiq started his professional cricket career with the List A debut for the Habib Bank Limited squad in the 2016–17 Departmental One Day Cup, played on 17th December 2016 at the age of 19-plus. The young cricketer played his first-class cricket for the first time on 9th October 2017 for Khan Research Laboratories in the 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
As concerned as the Twenty20 debut of the Shafiq, it was for the Lahore Blues team in the domestic cricket of Pakistan at the 2017–18 National T20 Cup that held on 18th November 2017. The player played well in the domestic season of 2018, as he was selected for the PSL of 2019. While playing the Pakistan Super League tournament of 2019 season for the Multan Sultans squad. Shafiq was marked for his notable performance in the first match of the tournament with the bowling figures of 2/11 runs off only 4 overs against the champion team, Islamabad United. Subsequently, this performance garnered him the man-of-the-match award.
This remarkable performance earned him the nomination in Balochistan’s squad for the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy competition, held in September 2019.
Now a day, the young player is playing for the Multan Sultans team in the 2020 season of the PSL.
