Andrea Demetriades is an Australian actress, born in 1987. She works on television, theatre plays, and films. She hails from Perth, and she is the youngest sister among the four. In 1969, her father, Costas emigrated from Cyprus where he met her mother, Athena, who was also born in Perth. While Costas was born in Andros, Greece. Her mother was an artist by profession and her father worked as a Greek language teacher and a translator. he helped people with legal matters and translated in hospitals and welfare departments.

Career

Andrea Demetriades took dance lessons at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, and Communications and Cultural Studies at Curtin University. She also completed her bachelors from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA), with a bachelor of Dramatic Art (Acting) degree in 2006.

Demetriades then established herself as a versatile and successful actress. She initially worked at theatre plays, and later made appearances in television and films. She is mainly known for appearing in ‘Janet King’ in 2014 and 2016. Also, she gave a wonderful performance in ‘Murder Mysteries’ directed by Miss Fisher. In the series, she appeared as Beatrice, released in 2013. Among others, some are notable, like; Mr. & Mrs. Murder as Lola, ‘The Principal’ as Hafa Habeb, and many more. Well, she made her career broad as she has many credits associated with her showbiz career.

Achievements

Demetriades received positive feedback from the viewers and her fans for performing a negative role in the film named ‘Alex & Eve’ which was released in the year 2015. The film was about dating a Greek and a Muslim Lebanese, Alex and Eve.
