Jayasimha, popularly known as Bobby Simha, who is a film actor, hailing from India and exclusively worked in the Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu cinema. Incredibly, he has marked his identity in the cinematic world with his outstanding acting prowess. Also, he is mainly known for his roles in movies “Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi” and “Pizza”, released in 2012. What’s more, he is a recipient of several awards and honors that he has won for his stellar performances.

He belongs to a middle-class family, born in Hyderabad, India, and moved to Kodaikanal in 1995. He studied there in a Telugu-Medium School, and also studied from Pioneer College of Arts and Science.

Career

After completing his studies, he moved to Chennai as he wanted to pursue acting as a career. And he started working in a Marketing Insurance Company due to the financial crisis. Later on a behalf of his friend,  he met a filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj-who made short movies. Karthik cast him in his feature film and offered to play a minor role in the movie “Pizza”. Later, another famed director, Balaji Mohan gave him a chance to work along with him in his film project “Kadhalil Sodhappuvadu Yeppadi”. Fortunately, both films got critical acclaim and since then, Simha recognized for his amazing performances.

In 2013, he appeared in “Soodhu Kavvum” and portrayed the role of Pagalayan. While he played a variety of roles, such as; humorous roles to negative ones. He also appeared in the movie “Neram” in which he portrayed a negative role. While both movies received good reviews.

In 2014, he worked in a movie “Jigarthanda” for which he earned critical acclaim and became popular for his performance among his fans. Since then, he frequently appeared in several movies and won the hearts of many.

Eventually, he became the main heading of numerous dailies where a number of positive reviews were published for him because of his amazing performances and back-to-back hits.

However, he has acted in various movies and also made an appearance on television as well. His most liked movies include “Saamy Square”, drama- “Bangalore Naatkal” and others are worth sharing to watch.

Achievements

Among his various notable achievements, he won the Vijay Award for the category of Best Villain for the movie “Jigarthanda” in 2014. Also, he won the Filmfare Awards South for the category of Best Supporting Actor for the same movie in 2014.
