Career

Bisht was born to Jaisingh Bisht and Jasumati Bisht. She has an older brother named Ranjan Bisht. Before acting, she worked as a reporter for a lot of news channels and was also an anchor for Chitrahaar, which is a TV program.

She is best known for roles as Sharanya in “Ek Deewaana Tha” (2017) and Ishika Patel in “Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop” (2018). She took part as a contestant in Bigg Boss 15 in 2021.

Bisht started her acting career in 2015. She performed as a journalist in Star Plus’s “Airlines”. In the same year, she performed as Dr. Shelly in the series “Twist Wala Love”. She got her first break as Sakshi in the Indian TV Channel Life OK’s “Kalash-Ek Vishwaas”.

Bisht replaced Jasmin Bhasin to play Happy “Mehra in Star Plus’s Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji” in 2019. She got ranked 18th in The Times of India’s Top 20 Most Desirable Women on TV and also in Big Boss 15.

In 2018, she got nominated for the Gold Awards for Best Couple (With Namik Paul) for the show “Ek Deewana Tha”. Later that year, Donal Bisht got nominated for the Gold Awards for Most Fit Actor (Female).

Donal Bisht says her new role in the show “Ek Deewaana Tha”. Naina motivates the show, performed by Deepika Padukone in the film “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”.

“I get to perform Radhika, a role which is motivated by Deepika Padukone from her movie. I’m glad I also get to a role that was my career before acting — a journalist. As a reporter, I have worked for a lot of news channels and anchors in Delhi, which is my hometown,” Bisht said.
