Montgomery was born to Robert Montgomery who was an actor, director, and producer. She started her career as an actress with the TV role on her father’s TV series named ‘Robert Montgomery Presents, which won a Theatre World Award for her Broadway Debut in the Production ‘Late Love’ in 1956.
During the 1960s, the actress became famous for her role played as a witch Samantha Stephens on the ABC sitcom ‘Bewitched’.
Her work and performance was appreciated by everyone including the critics, viewers, and her die-hard crazy fans. And this led her to earn many awards from nominations.
Later, she became famous for appearing in ‘A Case of Rape’ (1974), as Ellen Harrod, and ‘The Legend of Lizzie Borden’ (1975) in the title role. For her performances, she earned additional Emmy Award nominations.
