Janet Jackson is a well-known American singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer. She is the tenth and youngest child of the Jackson family. After releasing her self-titled debut studio album in 1982, she gained recognition for the lyrical content which focused on social issues set her position as a role model for youth.
In 2018, she received her third nomination for introduction into the Rock and roll Hall of Fame. Also in 2018, she was also one of the seven selected of the 2019 class of the Rock and roll Hall of Fame.
She is best known for interesting records and fancy stage shows. She began her career with the variety television series The Jacksons in 1976. Her other popular TV shows include Good Times, Diff’rent Strokes, and Fame.
She has also appeared in films including Why Did I Get Married? And its sequel, Why Did I Get Married Too? in 2010 as Patricia Agnew. In 1982, she signed a recording contract with A&M Records and became a pop idol. She released her third and fourth studio albums, Control (1986) and Rhythm Nation 1814 (1989).
Janet Jackson and her brother Randy Jackson are the producers of the upcoming documentary series called Janet Jackson (2022). Her sound and choreography became a motivation in the growth of MTV, enabling her to grow to fame while breaking gender and racial difficulties.
