Kumud Mishra is a renowned actor in the arena of Indian theatre, because of his versatility and excellent acting prowess. He got inspired by his father as he was a stage actor too. While one of his interviews, Kumud Mishra revealed that when he discovered his interest in acting, his teachers embedded the love of acting in him, and he used to take part in school plays to hone his acting skills. He did graduation in History and Political Science.


After completing his studies, he got the chance to work alongside well-known stars and he worked under the supervision and guidance of the famed directors including Alok Nandan. Sachin Tiwari, Irfan Saurabh, and others. Later, he joined the Little Ballet Theatre which was owned by Prabhat Ganguly. In 1989, he joined that on the behalf of which he took part in the Festival of India. Thereafter in 1990, he decided to polish his acting skills and did a diploma course from the National School of Drama. Later in 1994, he moved to Mumbai where he looked for work. He rose to fame by appearing in various plays and some of the most popular are Medha and Zoombish which was directed by Ramu Ramanathan, Shakkar Ke Paanch Daane which was directed by Manav Kaul and others are worth sharing. He also appeared in Ramu Ramanathan’s directorial “Cotton 56 Polyester 84” for which he got an award.


In 2006, Kumud Mishra was honored with the Best Play Award from META for the play “Cotton 56 Polyester 84” which was directed by Ramu Ramanathan.
