His father died in a work accident 5 months prior to his birth, while his mother died in a car accident when he was just 16 months old.

At the age of 2, Lee Majors was adopted by his uncle and aunt. He moved to Middlesboro, Kentucky along with them. He did his bachelors and earned a scholarship to Indiana University where he competed in sports. He also took part in track and football at Middlesboro High School.

Career

Lee Majors developed his interest in acting and decided to pursue it as a career. He then joined showbiz and gave many auditions. Luckily, he got selected and started appearing on the small screen. He has acted in many acting projects but became famous for playing the roles of Heath Barkley in the American television Western series titled ‘The Baig Valley’ aired from 1965 to 1969.

Among his other popular roles, one of the best is Colonel Steve Austin in the American TV science-fiction action series titled ‘The Six Million Dollar Man’. It was started in 1973 and ended in 1978.

From 1981 to 1986, Lee Majors also made an appearance in American TV action series titled ‘The Fall Guy’ for which he got immense popularity.

However, the actor gave fantastic performances and has been winning the hearts of millions. The best is, he got success in almost all his ventures.
