1- Family Origin & Parents

His father Maghvendra Sharma worked in the Indian army as Corps of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Gaurav is Maghvendra and Nirmal Sharma’s second-born son, preceded by his brother Saurabh Sharma.

2- Academic Profile

Gaurav primarily attended an army school in Chandigarh. When the family moved to Meerut, he completed his remaining education. In just his final year of high school, Gaurav worked as a sales executive. Later he joined an international call centre in Gurgaon.

3- Beginnings

Modeling briefly, the young dreamer sought to become an actor and moved to Mumbai in 2009. He auditioned for Beyond Dreams Ent, a production company that led to being shortlisted for Yash Patnaik’s Jamuna as a lead.

4- Television Steals

On tv, Gaurav has worked in a plethora of serials like Ladies Special (2009), Chandragupta Maurya (2011), Nadaniyaan (2013), Kairi- Rishta Khatta Meetha (2012), and Palampur Express (2009).

5- Fame Time

The Star Plus soap Diya Aur Baati Hum (2011) where he played a terrorist was an instant catch amongst its audience. In 2013, Gaurav replaced Neev Jain as Khush Kapoor in Sony Tvs’ Bade Achhe Lagte Hain.

It’s not surprising that the actor has Bollywood affiliations to his name. He is known for featuring in Din Ke Andhere Mein (2013) as his debut,1978 A Teen Night Out (2019), and the blockbuster film Aashiqui 2.

The Zee 5 original Bombers (2019) was his first one-of-a-kind web series endeavor. In 2020 Sharma made waves as Pawan in Poison 2, another web series on Zee5.

8- Wife Life

In 2017 the love birds Gaurav and Priyanka Sachan, also an actor, solemnized their relationship at a destination wedding in Goa. They became parents to Shivanshi in 2020.
