Deepika Padukone receives criticism for making a profit of mental health
On Thursday,10th October 2019, a well-liked Bollywood’s eminent star Deepika Padukone declared that she is going to launch her closet for a cause on her website: DeepikaPadukone.com in the light of World Mental Health Awareness Day.
The Piku star, who is an active speaker on depression and emotional wellness issues, took to her social media account and reported her fans would now be able to share her closet.

Deepika shared the video with her followers and subtitled it, “To all of you, this World Mental Health Day I am charmed to declare the launch of The Deepika Padukone Closet where you can shop and claim a portion of my most loved pieces from my wardrobe! Bunches of Love, Deepika.”

Just after this promotional advertisement, she received a severe backlash on social media by netizens. While most of the social media users appreciate her for a great initiative to support depressive people, while others disagree and criticized her badly.
