Nick Lachey is an American singer, actor, television personality, and host. He gained fame as the lead singer of the boyband 98 Degrees. He later starred in the reality series Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica (2003) with his then-wife, Jessica Simpson.

Career

Nick Lachey has released four solo albums: SoulO (2003), What’s Left of Me (2006), A Father’s Lullaby, and Soundtrack of My Life. He also had a recurring role on the television series Charmed (TV series, 1998-2006). He hosted the singing competition The Sing-Off in 2009 and co-hosted VH1’s daily live morning news Big Morning Buzz Live from 2014 to 2015.

Lachey now hosts Nickelodeon’s America’s Most Musical Family (2019-2020) and co-hosts the Netflix show Love is Blind (2020). In 2021, Lachey won the fifth season of the reality singing competition television series The Masked Singer (2019). He is the brother of singer and actor Drew Lachey.

His maternal grandfather, Robert James Fopma, was of Dutch origin, and his other origin was English, Scottish, German, and distant Welsh and French. He studied at the Clovernook Elementary School and the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati.

Nick Lachey later attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he joined Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE). In 1992, he register at the University of Southern California, according to a statement he made during his guest appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show in 2013.

He also earned Choice Music: Love Song Award for his Where You Are (with Jessica Simpson). He later earned the Most Performed Song Award for his lead single, What’s Left of Me (2006) in 2007.
