Sarayu is an Indian film actress who mainly works in the Malayalam film industry and television shows. She appeared in various movies and became famous for her great performances. Sarayu made her film debut “Kappal Muthalaali” which was released in 2009. The film got average reviews but she got positive reviews for her performance. Also, she has worked in a few music albums, such as’ “Kungumam”, “Monchulla Painkili” and “Sooryakanthi”.

She was born in Kannur, India where she raised and grew up. She is the pampered daughter of late Mohan and Chandrika. Her father belongs to Chottanikkara town, while her mother belongs to Kannur. Sarayu Mohan did her schooling from Our Lady Convent School. After completing her schooling and higher secondary education from Maharajas College, she then got a degree in Literature from Annamalai University.

Career

She started her career with small roles in movies, such as; Veruthe Oru Bharya”, and “Chakkara Muthu”. Later, she appeared in movies as a lead role and made a debut movie “Kappal Muthalaali” for which she earned huge fame and recognition. The film was directed by Thaha.

Later, she appeared in “Chekavar” in which she played the role of a Gauri. While in another movie “Sahasram”, she worked alongside Bala.

Afterward, Sarayu appeared in the movie “Four Friends” in which she worked alongside Kunjakko Boban. In the movie, she played a negative role. Then, she appeared in “Kanvakumari Express” which was directed and produced by SureshBabu and Inganeyum Oraal.

Also, she appeared in the movie named “Karayilekku Oru Kadel Dooram” in which she portrayed the role of Indrajith’s wife. However, Sarayu has acted in various movies and played a variety of roles, such as; small roles, lead roles, and also made some guest appearances in the movies.

Alongside this, she appeared in “Nidra” which was directed by Sidharth Bharathan. Later, she appeared in the movie named “Husbands in Goa” in which she worked alongside Asil Ali, Indrajith and Jayasurya.

Also, she appeared in a guest role in the movie named “Housefull” which was directed by Linson Antony. Meanwhile, she also worked in Tamil movies and marked her identity in the cinematic world.

Very few people know that Sarayu Mohan is blessed with directing skills. Yes… she has directed a movie named “Pacha” which was voiced of actress Bhama. In the film, she has acted as well and also the film was produced by herself. In the movie, there is a song that was written by Sarayu.

Also, she is a great writer and has written a book named “ Njyayaraazhchakale Snehicha Penkutty”,  which comprises of her own collection of poems & stories.
