Career
Shanmugrajan started his career as an actor and initially worked in theatre plays. After earning fame and recognition for the small roles he played during the theatre days, he then decided to move and planned to work in movies.
He struggled a lot and gave various auditions for different roles. After constant efforts and hard work, he then finally got a role in the film “Virumaandi” which was an action drama film and released in 2004. Since then, he appeared in various Tamil movies and won millions of hearts across the nation.
One of his interviews, when he was asked by the interviewer about the person who introduced him to the Tamil cinema, Shanmugrajan replied and said, it was the one, who is the veteran, iconic, legendary star, Kamal Hassan introduced him to the Tamil film industry.
Shanmugrajan further said that he truly admires Kamal Hassan and shall be grateful to him for introducing him to the Tamil cinema.
The actor worked in numerous movies including “Sirirhal Rasipen” which was released in 2009. Also, he made his career on television and appeared on various television shows and one of the most popular is television show is “Nandini” for which he gained much recognition and fame.
