Sumit Suri is a film and television actor, born in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India and predominantly works in Hindi cinema. He has worked in several movies and TV shows but he is mainly known for the role played in the Bollywood movie “Warning” which was released in 2013. It was directed by Gurmeet Singh and the film features Jitin Gulati, Madhurima Tuli, and others who played significant roles. However, the dashing man has won the hearts of many with his remarkable performance had given in the movie and his fans praised him for his performance.
He is the son of M.L.Suri (father- who is a businessman) while his mother- Neelum Suri is a Housewife. He got his elementary education from Model School and later, he joined the University of Delhi from where he did graduation. After one year of unemployment, he decided to move to Mumbai where he started looking for acting opportunities.
Career
After completing his studies, Sumit Suri shifted to Mumbai in 2006 where he did several jobs for survival. Later, he took the start of his career as an assistant director and worked alongside the famed director Majid Majidi with whom he worked on several movies. After continuous efforts, he finally got an opportunity to work as an actor in the movie and appeared in the debut movie “Warning” which was released in the year 2013. The film features Jitin Gulati, Madhurima Tuli, and others who played pivotal roles. Since then, he appeared in various movies and also made an appearance in the Reality TV show “Fear Factor: Khatron Ka Khiladi- season 4” which was aired in the year 2011. Moreover, he has also worked in several TV advertisements, commercials, web-series, and short movies as well. In 2013, he also made an appearance in the movie “Sukhab” which got selected at the NFDC Film Bazaar as viewing Room Film. Fortunately, the film had won several awards for different categories and this became the reason for Sumit Suri’s success and fame.
Achievements
Among various prestigious achievements, Sumi Suri was honored with the Noida International Film Festival Award for the category of Best Supporting Actor in the most popular movie “Surkhab” in the year 2015.
