Uzra Butt (born 22 May 1917 and died on 31 May 2010), a theater character from the Indian subcontinent, moved to Pakistan in 1964. She is the sister of theater and Bollywood film entertainer Zohra Sehgal, who, unlike her, lived in India. Since 1937, overcoming ritual obstacles, he and his sister Uday Shankar have been touring Europe and the United States as entertainers and performers with artistic dance costumes. When she finished her journey after World War II, she joined the IPTA and became a leading lady of Prithvi Theater in these ways in the 1940s and 1950s.
Uzra Butt’s Early Life
She was born in Rampur as Uzra Mumtaz, a Muslim group of Mumtazullah Khan and Nautica Begum along the Rohilla Pathans in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. He was the fourth of his seven cousins – Jakullah, Hajra, (Zohra Sehgal), Ikramullah, Anna and Sabira, and had a childhood in Chakrata, Dehradun. Producer Kiran Sehgal is her niece and on-screen character Samiya Mumtaz is her niece.
Career Vocation
She started her theatrical movement with the expressive dance costumes of Uday Shankar in 1937 and became the leading lady of the famous Prithvi theater in the 1940s and 50s. He entered Uday Shankar’s artistic dance troupe as an artist and landed on screen in 1944 before joining the Indian People’s Theater Association (IPTA). Here Khwaja Ahmad Abbas has been given the lead in the drama. Prithviraj Kapoor was scared of her role and was chosen as her leading adventurer, Johra too. In the coming years, Prithviraj Kapoor will play the female opposite Prithviraj Theater. She influenced an adventurous woman in Shakuntala in 1944, joining her sister in 1948 to join the Ghadar and as a farmer, and worked in over 100 cities and urban communities across India.
Uzra Butt was the head of the Prithvi Theater’s handicraft and worked for the Prithvi Theater until the 1960s. In 1964 she traveled with her husband, Hamid Butt, to Pakistan. Here he shaped a chalk team at Rawalpindi, serving on the Pakistan National Council of Arts now and then on stage and on TV. She then moved to Lahore and joined the Azoka Theater in October 1985. Her first film was ‘Chaka Chakar’ and she starred in the drama: Bari, Dukkini, Dukh Darya, Taki Da Tamasha, Talisma Tata, Thissri Dastak, Kali Ghata, Adhuri, and Surak Gulaban da Mausam. She is hoping for an impressive position as director of this group. He continued acting after forty years in 1993 when he starred in Ek Tha Nani with his sister, Jorah Sehgal. She got major jobs and the cast was her grandmother, Samia Mumtaz, and niece Salima Raja. The play opened in Lahore in 2003 and toured India, Pakistan, and Britain, recalling a performance for 2004 at Prithvi Theater. Ujra was awarded the Sangeet Natak Academy Award in Abhinaya (Music) in 1994 by the National Academy of Music Sangeet Natak Academy. Music, dance and drama; It is India’s most important endorsement that artists provide for rehearsals. Its last phase was in 2008. He died at the age of 93 in Lahore, Pakistan.
