Adam Richard Sandler (born on September 9, 1966) in New York City, U.S. He is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and singer.
Career
From 1990 to 1995, he was a cast member on Saturday Night Live. Before performing in many Hollywood films, which have combined to earn more than $2 billion at the box office.
Sandler has starred in many comedic roles, including Billy Madison (1995), Happy Gilmore (1996), The Waterboy (1998), and many more. He also voiced Dracula in the first three films of the Hotel Transylvania franchise (2012–2018), created by Todd Durham.
While some of his comedic films, including Jack and Jill (2011), have been criticized. Following in, he received nominations for nine Golden Raspberry Awards and 37 Raspberry Awards. Sandler has received critical acclaim for his dramatic performances in the dramedy films Spanglish (2004), Reign Over Me (2007), and Funny People (2009). He received further praise for his appearances in auteur-led films, including Punch-Drunk Love (2002), The Meyerowitz Stories (2017), and Uncut Gems (2019).
Sandler grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire, after moving there at six. He attended Manchester Central High School. As a teen, he was in BBYO, a Jewish youth group. He completed his graduation from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 1988. In 2020, he won Best Male Lead for his film Uncut Gems (2019). As of April 2018, he has received nominations for 120 accolades, winning 46.
