Arshad Khan is a Pakistani cricketer who now lives in Sydney, Australia. Khan plays as a right-handed batsman as well as a right-handed off-break bowler. Khan belongs to a Pashtun family as he was born in Peshawar, Pakistan.
Arshad started his international career in cricket when he was selected to play for Pakistan against the West Indies for the 1997–98 season. The following year, Arshad was one of the key members of the Pakistani team who won the Asian Test Championship. This match was played against Sri Lanka at Dhaka, Bangladesh.
He was also the captain of the Pakistani team in the 1998 Commonwealth Games Kuala Lumpur. Since then, he was a regular member of the Pakistani team until 2001.
After a long break, he gave his best performance in the domestic championship of Pakistan that garnered Arshad a recall for Pakistan squad to tour India in 2005. As far as, his test career is concerned, he progressed very well while the Bangalore Test, in which Pakistan got the victory in the last session of the series, result in the draw of the match.
In May 2005, He selected to tour the Caribbean where he progressed well that result to retain his position for the England series, played after few months. He made his One Day International in 2005 while this series against England. He played in only 2nd and 5th matches of the series but repressed the England batsmen and enable them to make only a few runs. In the fifth match of the series, he made his excellent figure with a good economy of just over three runs per over.
Now a day, Khan is playing for Karachi King Franchise Squad in the player auction of 2020 Pakistan Super League.
