Jessica Lowndes is a well-known Canadian actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Adrianna Tate-Duncan on the teen drama series 90210 (2008). She mostly appeared in several Hallmark Channel movies and the Lifetime Channel movie Too Close for Christmas (2020) which she co-produced with co-star Chad Michael Murray.

Lowndes studied at the Pacific Academy in Surrey, Canada. She knew from an early age that she had an affection for singing and acting. So, she produced much of her own music from an early age. Before her senior year, she worked on a project for showtime with encouragement and support from her parents. She then moved to Los Angeles at age 16 and began her career.

In 2014, she received a nomination at the Canadian Screen Awards for her performance in A Mother’s Nightmare (2012). She received a nomination at the Prism Awards for her performance in 90210 (2008) in 2009.

Career

At age 16, she made her acting debut on the 2005 television film, Saving Milly as Andrea Kondracke. A guest role followed this in an episode of Masters of Horror (2005). She played a recurring role as Becky in the sitcom Alice, I Think it is based on the 2000 Susan Juby book of the same name. She also appeared guest on Kyle XY (2006).

Her next film role was a supporting role in the movie To Have and to Hold (2005), followed by a pilot called Pretty/Handsome in 2008, which did not get picked up. In 2008, she appeared in Autopsy and The Haunting of Molly Hartley, along with another recurring role, this time as Mandi, in the television drama series Greek (2007-11).

Lowndes starred in the Canadian horror film Altitude (2010) as Sara. BuddyTV placed her #58 on its TV’s 100 Sexiest Women of 2011 list. She starred in the dramatic-thriller comedy film A Deadly Adoption (2015) alongside Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig.
