Paul Stephen Rudd (born on April 6, 1969) in Passaic, New Jersey, U.S. He is an American actor, writer, and producer.
He attended Broadmoor Junior High in Pekin, Illinois. In 1987, he graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in Overland Park, Kansas. He was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity’s Nu Chapter at the University of Kansas. Rudd spent three months studying Jacobean drama at the Academy of British American Drama in Oxford.
Career
He made his acting debut in 1991. Later, he studied theater at the University of Kansas and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He appeared in the romantic drama film Romeo + Juliet (1996) alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
Rudd also played Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in Ant-Man (2015) and its sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018). He gained recognition in the action film Captain America: Civil War (2016) the box office success grossed $1.153 billion worldwide. He has worked in several science fictions films, including Avengers: Endgame (2019) which grossed $2.798 billion worldwide. The film became the highest-grossing film of all time and earned many accolades and nominations.
Recently, he starred in the Disney+ animated series What If…? (2021, TV series). He will also star in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023). Besides his film career, he has also performed on many television shows, including the NBC sitcom Friends (1994-2004, TV series). He has also appeared in guest roles including, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! (2007-2010), and Parks and Recreation (2009-2015, TV series), and has also hosted Saturday Night Live (1975) various times.
Rudd starred in the Netflix comedy Living With Yourself (2019, TV series), which earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actor. In July 2015, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Forbes magazine named him as part of the Celebrity 100 in 2019.
