Shanthnu Bhagyaraj has a filmy background. He is a versatile actor working for the Tamil film industry. Following his father’s footsteps, he decided to start his career in movies from 2008. Initially, he worked as an assistant director in the movie, directed by his sister. Even though, he completed his studies and currently, practicing with himself working in movies.

He was born on 24^th August 1986, South India where he completed his studies from Sishya School in Economics. Later in 2007, he did graduation in Economics from Loyola College, Chennai. He was born to the well-known actor-director, K. Bhagyaraj. He also tried his luck in acting and made his career in the Tamil cinema.

Career

Shanthnu Bhagyaraj started his career working in a movie as a child artist in his childhood days. The film was directed by his father, K. Bhagyaraj. The movie “Vettiya Madichu Kattu” and it was released in 1998. Later, he joined the film industry and made his debut in 1998 for which he won numerous awards.

Later, he worked in another movie named “Sakkarakatti” which was directed by Kala Prabhu. Fortunately, the film became an instant hit as it was produced by S. Thanu.

Alongside this, he made his Malayalam debut movie named “Angel John” in which he worked alongside Mohanlal. The film got a huge success. Since then, he appeared in several movies and made a broad career in the film line.

Shanthnu Bhagyaraj also appeared in a short movie named “CoKoNaKa” in the year 2020. Also, he appeared in a music video named “Oru Chance Kudu”  in 2020.

Achievements

Among various awards, he won the Filmfare Award for the Best South Male Debut in 2008 for the film “Sakkarakatti”. Also, he won the Vijay Award and ITFA Award for Best Debut Actor and Best New Actor in 2008 for the same movie, and the list goes on.
