Sid Makkar is an Indian film and television actor, who is mainly known for the outstanding performances he has given in the movies. He is known for the lead role played in Bollywood movies including “Turning 30”, “Dus Tola”, “Luck by Chance” and others.

He was born in Amritsar, Punjab, India where he raised and grew up with siblings and parents. He always wanted to be an actor as he was extremely passionate about acting in his childhood days so he then decided to go with it.

During his school days, Sid Makkar was so active as he took part in different plays, activities, and other co-curricular activities to hone his skills. Alongside this, he was good at studies as well and always won the hearts of many with his brilliant progress.

Career

In 2004, Sid Makkar started his career with the Bollywood film named “Kis Kis Ki Kismat” in which he played the role of Harish Mehta. The film was directed by Govind Menon and produced by Vivek Naya. While the film casts the Bollywood veteran actress, Rati Agnihotri, Malika Sherawat, Dharmendra, and other popular names are included.

Since then, Sid Makkar worked in various popular movies and television series. Also, he worked as a theatre artist and appeared in several plays including “Zangoora” in which he played the role of Zangoora, “Life kara De” in which he played the role of Goldy and “Art” in which he played the role of Serge. Alongside this, he has worked in both English and Hindi films.

In 2011, Sid Makkar worked in the short film named “Talk to Me”. While he is mainly known for the role he played in the television serial named “Ye Hain Mohbaten” aired from 2016-2017 in which he played the role of Vidyut.

In 2011, he worked in “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” which was a British Comedy-drama film directed by John Madden & written by OI Parker. The film is based on the novel “These Foolish Things”, which was written by Deborah Moggach. Later in 2015, he worked in “The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” which was a comedy-drama film directed by John Madden & written by Ol Parker. The film features Penelope Wilton, Rajesh Tailang, Dev Patel, and others who played significant roles.

Since then, he worked in many films and has given outstanding performances during his career. Some of his most popular movies are “Straight”, in which he played the role of Rajat, “Luck By Chance” in which he played the role of Sameer, “Chaurahen” and other notable work are worth sharing.
