He rose to fame after appearing in a serial named “Guest House” which was aired in the year 1991. In the serial, Afzal Khan appeared as John Rambo for which he gained huge popularity and since then, he became famous for his role. John Rambo is a Janitor nickname and Afzal Khan got acclaim due to his resemblance to the Hollywood actor.
Career
Afzal Khan was born on 1st September 1966, Havelian, KPK, Pakistan where he grew up and studied. He took the start of his career with a stage drama in Islamabad. Also, he worked in few plays by PTV and all that was broadcast in Islamabad and Peshawar. He has acted in more than 150 movies so far for which he gained immense love from fans. He is the person who has signed many movies in a single day. In 1991, he first appeared in PTV’s comedy series named “Guest House” in which he appeared as John Rambo which became his identity, and still, he is recognizing his TV name and very few people know his real name. After gaining success, he started appearing in movies and has acted in various movies. He played various roles from humorous to comic, but he didn’t get much success in serious roles but undoubtedly, he is a champ of comedy and effectively plays the roles. In 1993, he made his debut movie “Haathi Mere Saathi”, for which he gained much appreciation from viewers. In 1994, he appeared in other movies “Hero”, “International Luteray”, and “Ghunda Raj”. In 1995, he gave two hit movies including “Madam Rani” and “Munda Bigra Jaye”. In 1996, Afzal Khan worked in two movies including “Love 95”, and “Chor Machaye Shor”. Likewise, he worked in movies from 1995 to 2020. Apart from this, he has acted in many TV serials including “Khuda Aur Mohbat” and “Nagin”.
