Anant Nagarkatte, born on 4th September 1948, India, works as an actor in the Kannada film industry. He has been contributing to Kannada cinema for a long and has done many films. He has acted in more than 300 titles among 200 are Kannada films, and Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam films. It seems he is a multi-lingual person who has been giving his best to the Kannada cinema. He has featured in many television shows and theatre plays as well and this led him to establish his board career in the field of showbiz.
Career
Nag debuted through a film named ‘Sankalpa’ in 1973, which was directed by Prof. PV Nanjaraj Urs. Sankalpa won seven state awards in Karnataka. Among many films, some of them are commercially successful, such as; Benkiya Bale’, in 1983, ‘Hendthige Helbedi’, Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu’, and many others that are notable. Moreover, he acted in one of the most popular television series ‘Malgudi Days’ which was aired on the Doordarshan channel. The actor has worked on many projects and got famed. The best is, he has received several awards for which he got much praise from his fans and followers. Undoubtedly, he has established his prolific career by working on multiple film projects and got success in his career life. Now, he is a real inspiration to many South Indian aspiring actors.
