She doesn’t has any artistic background

The talented actress has a non-filmy background, it meant that she had to find her own way. This might be the reason due to which she had a few Bollywood releases after her hit film Housefull 2 since 2012 to till now. “Right now if you look at it around you, most of our actors belong to Bollywood families. They are star sons and daughters. Even if they commit some mistake, it is fine and they get another chance. However, that thing has played so badly on me,” rues Zareen.

Veer was her real breakthrough for which she is also a nominee.

Film Veer gave a new mark to Zareen Khan’s personality which remains for the five years with her. This film also garnered her a nomination at the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut. “I never had any apprehensions around this, to begin with as well. However, it was clear that if it is not required then I won’t do it for the heck of it. Yes, I did carry this whole image with me for five years – that of a princess from Veer who was all covered up. Industry as well as the audience always saw me in that light. Somehow, no one offered me anything that required me to step into an ultra-glam avatar,” says Zareen.

Khan was initially known as an over-weight actress

Zareen’s healthy weight bedevil her too, people usually said to the doll-like veer’s princess as an over-weight actress who eventually known as a sexy lady after her film debut in Hate Story 3. “Yes, these talks continued to surround me. The only impression that people had was that Zareen Khan is over-weight. Moreover, since I was this doll-like princess in Veer, everyone just wanted to see me all covered up,” she chuckles, “I don’t know if anyone was imagining me in any different avatar. Thank goodness that now with Hate Story 3, the perception has changed. From being over-weight, they have started calling me better names like sexy,” she told.

Zareen marked her name without any Godfathers

She has a big complaint about the Godfathers and influential source in Bollywood. She faces many difficulties to make herself a star in the Bollywood without any references and supportive sources or in other words without the Godfathers. “When I came into this industry, I was a newcomer. I did what I was told to do. When that wasn’t accepted well, people didn’t want to give me a second chance. It was very difficult. Since I don’t have any Godfather or someone influential, each of my decisions has to be my own and they have to be calculated. Hate Story 3 is one such decision,” She said.

Her upcoming release will be a Bollywood debut film

Khan very soon will be appeared in the Bollywood film “Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele” in 2020 along with Anshuman Jha.
