Shanina Shaik is a world-famous Australian model. She was born on the 11th of February 1991 in Australia. Her father is a Pakistani Saudi mixed descent named Hanif whereas her mother is an Australian descent named Kim. Shanina was accepted in an accelerated program during her secondary school and got the Graduation degree one year before her classmates. After her graduation, at the age of 15, she attended “the Girlfriend Model Competition” which followed by her journey to the Sidney to participate in the Australian reality show “Make Me A Supermodel”. It was the beginning of her modeling career.
Career Journey
Shanina made her first modeling debut at the age of eight years in a TV commercial for Hyundai, However, she started her career journey in the Autumn to Winter 2009 season. In this fashion season, she walked over eight shows in New York City. She worked for the topmost designers, like Yeohlee Abaete, Shipley & Halmos, Mara Hoffman, Project Runway, Lorick, Trovata and Richie Rich.
After the success in the first season, she cast to walk in her second season named Spring/Summer 2010 for various designers, such as Catherine Malandrino, Betsey Johnson, Gerlan Jeans, Rachel Antonoff, Nary Manivong and Susan Woo. Due to her excellent performance, she scored a show card. Following this, she made her fourth debut in the Autumn/Winter 2010 season and she walked for many fashion designers included Bebe by Kardashian, Iodice, Emu Australia, and Project Runway.

In the same year, she decided to switch from Chadwick Model Management to Chic Model Management through a modeling talent agency of USA “NEXT Model Management”. Now she worked in a campaign for Italian cloth label, Intimissimi and Australian shoe brand, RMK. She has also starred for many other multinational brands, like Macy’s, Avon, Free People, Bloomingdales, Olay, Spiegel, J. C. Penney, Seafolly and Sasha Samuel.
In 2011, She walked in a fashion show, and made herself within the sixth top Australian model along with Miranda Kerr, Elyse Taylor, Jessica Hart, Sarah Stephens, and Abbey Lee Kershaw who was starred in the “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show”. Shaik scored a breakthrough success in this show.
Again on the next year, she also starred in the Spring/Summer 2012 season and opened Bless’ed Are The Meek, Guanabana, Kirrily Johnston, Karen Neilson, L.A.M.B., Lisa Marie, Lisa Blue, Miss Unknown, Nookie Beach, Project Runway, None the Richer, Terri Donna, Roopa Pemmaraju and Wonders Cease at the “Rosemount Australian Fashion Week”. In the same year, Shaik went to walk for the “Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection” at the “Grand Palais” museum in Paris. Shaik made again her modeling debut in the print-work of Fall/Winter 2012 Fashion Week season for Victoria’s Secret and Bonds. During which she walked for Jason Wu, Ruffian, Nanette Lepore, Kevork Kiledjian, Charlotte Ronson, Oscar de la Renta, Diesel, L’Wren Scott, BlumarineTom Ford, Atsuro Maiyet, Tayama, Vivienne Westwood, and Stella McCartney.
Following her success, in 2016 she became an ambassador for the Australian swimwear brand, Seafolly, and Just Jeans, where she starred alongside a rugby sports star Sonny Bill Williams.
Shanina has also become the feature on the covers of various international fashion, lifestyle and women magazines, for example Cosmopolitan, Vogue India, Cleo, Vietnam, Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, Arabia, and Australia.
