Anjum Batra is a famed film actor who became popular for his great performances in movies like Dev.D (2009), Force (2011), Mahi NRI (2017), Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana (2012). He belongs to a Hindu family and hailing from Punjab, India. He is the son of a retired civil engineer Sh. Gulshan Batra and Babli Batra who is a housewife. While he has a sister named Aanchal Batra who is working as a doctor. Anjum Batra loves to do the bhangra, folk, and group singing, as he discovered his interest in acting and singing at the age of 14. While he did many theatre plays during his college days.
Career
Anjum Batra took the start of his career working in the Bollywood film industry. Initially, he gave several auditions for different roles and tried for both the film industry and the TV industry. In 2010, he got the chance to work in the most popular TV series named “Crime Patrol” which was aired on Sony TV. Next, he appeared in the Bollywood movie named “Luv Shuv Te Chicken Khurrana” in which he appeared as Dalidri. It was his first Indian movie for which he gained huge appreciation. Since then, he never stopped and frequently appeared in various movies including “The Naughty Jatts” and others that are worth sharing. Also, he made an appearance in few TV commercials including KBC, L7T, Muthoot Finance and others. Also, he is looking forward to work alongside big star of the Bollywood film industry and soon he will be shared the screen space alongside Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. Moreover, he also learned music from Varinder Bachchan in Chandigarh. Later, he joined the Indian Theatre department from where he passed out in the year 2008. In the same year, he did a Punjabi movie and also worked in the serial for which he got appreciation. Also, he has done several projects along with big names, like; Anurag Kashyap, Imtiaz Ali, Nishikant Kamat, and other film directors who approached him to cast in their movies. He has done several advertisements, 30 commercials, and 70 episodes of the most-watched serial named Crime Patrol in which he appeared in a negative role. However, he has established himself a great actor.
