Darshan Kumaar is a film and television actor, hailing from India. He exclusively works in the Bollywood film industry and played various roles in movies. He is mainly known for the role played in the movie “Mary Kom” which was released in 201. In the movie, he worked alongside Bollywood famed actress, Priyanka Chopra Jonas as a lead. It was his Bollywood debut movie for which he earned huge acclaim and recognition. However, he has worked in several television serials, movies and also appeared in web-series.
Career
Darshan Kumaar belongs to a small town of Delhi where he was born, grew up and studied. At the age of 24, he along with his family moved to Mumbai to start his career. He started his career as a theatre actor where he worked alongside a theatre group for 5 years. Later, he worked with Motley Productions where he met a veteran film star, Naseeruddin Shah and he started learning from him for 10 years.
Later, Darshan Kumaar moved into the television line and started appearing in various television serials. He appeared in the television serial named “Chotti Bahu” in which he played the role of Purab. While the serial runs from 2008 to 2010.
Also, he appeared in another serial named “Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondho” in which he worked as Mridang Lall. While it had run from 2010 to 2012.
He worked in television series named “Devon Ke Dev-Mahadev” in which he played the role of Sukracharya who was the guru of the demon. While it had run from 2011 to 2014. However, he acted in various television serials.
Apart from this, he also appeared in the movies and he appeared in “Mary Kom” a Bollywood movie in which he worked alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Which was released in 2014 and he appeared as a lead.
While he played roles in various movies, like; “ Tere Naam” (2003) in which he worked alongside Salman Khan and played the role of Salman’s friend. Likewise, he worked in other movies “NH10” (2015), “Baaghi-2” (2018), “PM Narendra Modi” (2019), and others are worth sharing to watch.
