Mohammed Yusuf Khan is professionally known by his stage name Dilip Kumar. He was an Indian actor and film producer who worked in Hindi cinema. He was born on 11th December 1922 and died on 7th July 2021.

The veteran actor is no more, but still, he is referred to as the ‘Tragedy King’. He is known for his best portrayals of serious roles. He is also known as the ‘The First Khan’ and is known as the most successful actor.

Career

During his prolific career, Yusuf Khan aka Dilip Kumar won the most wins for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. He won the eight Filmfare Awards.

Dilip Kumar is known for his performance in the film named ‘Izatdaar’ which was released in the year 1990. In the film, he acted alongside Govinda Ahuja.

During his career of more than five decades, Kumar has worked in more than 65 films in various roles. He made his debut as an actor in the movie Jwar Bhata (1944), produced by Mumbai Talkies.

After a series of unsuccessful enterprises, he had his first successful box office at Jugnu (1947).

However, Kumar worked on many acting projects and got much acclaim from the viewers.
