Richard Sharaf Babu, popularly known as Richard Rishi, who is an Indian film actor and has worked in Telugu and Tamil film industries. In 1990, he made a debut movie “Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari” for which he earned fame and appreciation. He was born on 20^th October 1977, Thiruvalla, India, and the son of Babu and Alice. He studied from Loyola Matriculation School and passed out his intermediate. He shared a strong bond with 2 younger sisters, Shalini and Samili and they both became actresses. Talking about his family background, his paternal family is from Kollam and the maternal family is from Malayali, lived in Chennai.

Career

Richard Rishi acted as a child actor in his childhood and made a debut with Tamil movie named “Anjali” which was released in 1990. But, he was recognized as an adult actor as he worked in “Kadhal Virus” which was released in 2002. In the movie, he worked as a lead alongside Sridevi Vijaya Kumar.

Later, he appeared in another movie “Koottu” and the story revolves around the two college buddies. In the film, he portrayed the role of Harikrishnan while the film was released in 2004.

In 2005, he appeared in the movie named “Girivalam”. It was a remake of the Bollywood movie named “Humraaz”. In the movie, Richard Rishi worked along with Shaam and Tanu Roy. The film became a hit and he earned huge success.

In 2006, Richard Rishi appeared in “Naalai” which was a super hit movie and liked by everyone for its narration and storyline. While in the same year, Richard Rishi appeared in another movie named “Yuga” and the film got recognition. However, he acted in numerous movies and won the hearts of many with his stellar performances throughout his career life.

He is mainly known for his movies like; “Dammunnodu” which was released in 2010, “Netru Indru” released in 2014, and “Pazhaya Vannarapettai” released in 2016.
